About Miriam

Tarot has been part of my life for many years as an insightful way to receive and offer guidance. I believe we all have free will and therefore the power to change the future for ourselves and others if we truly understand the past and present. I am drawn to the powerful symbolism of images and words in the tarot that can crystallize our thoughts and give us tangible concepts to work with. My first career was as an actor and drama coach. I learned how to empathise, understand what people were thinking, and find the subtext in human relationships. My aim is to use tarot to spark imagination and intuition in order to read deeper into the stories in our lives, and look at every aspect from a fresh perspective.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

I enjoy the moments of revelation when a new idea pops up through the cards. It's very satisfying when a client feels able to acknowledge their own opinions about a situation. Sometimes we can't always admit to our true feelings and a tarot reading gives us the opportunity to be honest. I love getting to the bottom of things, and finding a way through a problem.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

I'm a typical Cancerian because my family and home are my priorities. I'm also an empath.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

When I was at school I found that I was able to read and connect with the symbolism in literature on an emotional and spiritual level. Once I discovered tarot and oracle cards I began to use the same approach, Now I'm circling back to poetry by using classic poems for further insight and inspiration, with rhapsodomancy.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

All the readings I do are 100% confidential so I couldn't really give any details. However, the most memorable times are when a reading helps someone to get unstuck and see a way forward.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I have previously worked as a teacher which makes me always want to encourage people. My love for fiction, drama and poetry has given me the imagination to explore things that I have not experienced myself. I am particularly fond of reading about history where the archetypes in the tarot can be readily discovered and understood.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

It's important for anyone to realise that they are in the driving seat in their own life. A tarot reading can illuminate the way, but there are many different roads you can take. The people in our lives also have free will, but the tarot can help us to be in control of our reactions, learn and move on.
