My name is Josephine, and I have walked the traditional path as a Wisefolk for 18 years. With this I am highly intuitive and hold mediumship abilities, I can connect with your spirit team and assist in guiding you in the right direction that you are looking for. I work closely with spirits and the land and like to combine this with my divination and client consultation. I am a trained herbalist, which is where my path has led me down and has greatly helped me connect with the land and not only this but spirits and people too. I have been providing my services to the public for over 20 years and tarot readings for over 10 years. I am going to provide you with what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear and very open to discussing how this may look to you in the future. I believe that divination can aid us in everyday life in making the right choices for us and with this, I hope to help in building a safe space for you as a client, so that you are able to clearly see the right direction and outcome for you. Whilst bringing you a reading to the best of my ability.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

I like the connection that I make with clients and the fact that I can help during times that it might be a little be tricky for a client. They can walk away with a clearer mindset and more confident in making the right choice for them. I am very much a healer and problem solver and find that this fits perfectly within my abilities to help a client.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

As an Aries woman, I am very passionate over what I do and determined too, although the confidence part I can be a little wishy washy over. I am adventurous but usually the first one to volunteer for something.....this is not always a good thing (side eyes my confidence here as that, for an Aries can sometimes be mixed with stupidity, we don't always think first). I do find that I am driven by my heart and find it hard to actually stop and think but as I have become older, that mature Aries has started to settle in and is typically the opposite to what we see as an Aries these days. I have learned to step back and evaluate.....mostly. And yes, my impulsiveness is still there, however I have learned to be a little less impulsive, you could say this is where my Taurus Moon steps in and brings a slightly more responsible and reliable me. I have learned though that our Sun sign, as we get older, takes more of a back seat and our Moon sign tends to take front and centre.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

When it comes to my folk witch ways, I was raised by my grandma on this path, you could say this is a generational tradition, however my grandma was waiting for a sign that I was ready to learn, and the following was said sign. My first mediumship encounter, I was 8 and had witnessed a hooded figured outside a lady's house, that lived across from my aunt's one summer evening. I remember running down and telling my aunty but at this time they were strict Baptists and thought my imagination was running away. But I was adamant the neighbour needed to be checked on. I put my wellies on and a jumper and ran out across the cul-de-sac and knocked on her door, no answer. I knew she would be sat in her favourite armchair in the front room with a tin of boiled sweets that she used to always give out to the local children. I was knocking on her window and all of a sudden, she was stood next to me, telling me not to panic and that there was no rush. I told my aunty this and at that point, they managed to get into her house. Sadly, she had passed away that evening. This memory has stayed with me for life and one that I believe opened me up to the path that I walk today. She was such a gentle old lady and will always be thankful for the kindness she always showed.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

I was hosting a tarot reading table at a local spiritual fayre one day, sitting in on behalf of a friend, this was my very first spiritual fayre I had read at. This lady kept walking past me slowly and looking, it was like she was scouting out who would be a better fit as a reader for her. She had on this yellow daisy and white long summer dress on and noticed she wasn't wearing any shoes (it was summer), long flowing black hair down to her waist and both arms full of bangles. She stopped in front of me and asked me how I read, I gave her the general " I will pull a few cards, add in my intuition and go from there", I never really had anything gimmicky, and she said she liked that. She sat down and said " you lead, tell me what you want". As I was shuffling cards, this woman who looked like an older version of her stood behind my client, she was very Spanish catholic looking, black veil over her eyes and nose, holding rosary beads in her right hand that were wrapped around her wrist and a little black purse held in her left. She started speaking to me but in Roman Latin (I know Latin from my catholic school days) and I responded but she kept saying "spiritus de sanctis" which means spirit of the saints. My client looked at me and asked what was wrong, I said nothing, but this older lady was stood behind her speaking Latin to me. I said she looks Spanish due to what she was wearing. My client asked me do I speak Spanish, and I said no but I can understand basic Latin, my client nodded and smiled. I continued the reading and realised that this lady had passed not more than a month ago, in fact she had passed on saint john's eve, which I relayed to my client and asked, "this is 100% your grandma" and told her what I had for information. She confirmed that this in fact was her grandma. The reading essentially stopped there, and my client spent the next 20 minutes telling me stories of her grandma and how she would spend the summer in Spain. We both cried and laughed but she left the reading feeling a lot more lighter and relieved. This is the moment I realised that I wanted to read publicly to help others.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I am trained in herbalism, and I also hold a BSc in psychology, with this I also work within the healthcare field. I feel this, mixed in with my Wisefolk path, really have helped to not only aid me but allowing me the ability to help others too when it comes to my reading abilities.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

Select a reader that you are drawn towards and go into the reading with as much as a clear mind as you can. It's good to have questions ready, which I would advise writing these down, so you don't forget what you want to ask. A reader should always bring you clarity when asking a question and this includes how they conduct their divination, so do not be afraid to ask them. It's natural to be nervous going into a reading but try to be as relaxed as you can, if this means making yourself a cup of tea and having snacks next to you whilst the reading is being conducted, then so be it. And most of all, be as open minded as you possibly can, as you may come out of a reading with more answers than you wanted.
