I am Destiny, a tarot card reader and intuitive psychic. My readings can be general or can cover a specific issue such as education, career, and relationships. I am 45 years old and have been reading for over 20 years. I connect to the psychic world on a daily basis whether I am reading or not. My son also has the ability to connect. It may be something that I have passed on to him.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

The thing I like most about giving readings is that they can be uplifting. I also know that a lot of my readings have given people guidance when they have been unsure how to deal with a situation. When people confirm points in their reading it gives me as a psychic validation, it’s also great to know that others acknowledge the psychic world. I did a reading for a young woman last year and a young man came through to me. She didn’t know who he was. A few months later she came back to me and after talking to her relatives. The man who connected to me was the father she had never met. He died before she was born. She believed her stepfather to be her dad. Her mother had never told her. She is now searching for paternal family members.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

As a Capricorn I would say that I am to the point, straight forward. Typical of a Capricorn. I am self-assured, self-reliant, and very motivated. I have taken knocks in life, but I always pick myself back up.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

As a youngster aged 7, I always used to talk to the people sat at the end of my bed or at the dinner table. People dismissed them as my imaginary friends and that I would grow out of talking to them. The thing is they were not imaginary. Obviously now I know they are spirits, and they still guide me to this day. I used to relay stories of events when I was at school days before they happened. For example, I said Mr Rogers is off with pneumonia. My friends said no he is over there. Two weeks later. We had a supply teacher in. She said Mr Rogers was off sick, I asked does he have pneumonia. Yes, she replied, how do you know that?

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

I have a psychic mentor who guides and supervises me each week. For many years I have been successfully reading tarot and connecting to the spirit word. I have had a varied and colourful life and I’m well-travelled. I feel I am non-judgemental and able to empathise with people on an individual basis.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I have done many one-to-one readings and phone readings over the years.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

Before having a reading try and have a calm state of mind. If you want answers to specific questions have them written down so as you are not stressing yourself out at the end of the reading trying to remember them. I always say the reading is a guide and ultimately the choices that you make are down to the individual.
