Hi, I'm Papa Smoke and I have been working as a Vodou/Voodoo Bocor for over a decade. I was trained by a Mambo Asogwe (High Priestess is the closest translation) and she helped me develop my psychic skills and opened my roads to communicate with the Lwa/Loa/Orishas (vodou/Voodoo deities) who provide me with answers guidance and mutual service. Although I use a deck of Voodoo Tarot cards, these cards are linked to the Lwa and the way I read can be seen as quite different to my peers and colleagues. All I can say is if you want honest upfront answers, insights and high-quality spiritual advice then trust in the Lwa. Works for me ;)

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

I love a number of things about reading clients. The first thing I love is helping them set their minds at rest and find some comfort and relief in the clarity I provide. The second thing I like is the joy in their voice when some advice I provide works or a prediction I made come true. Last and by far my favourite though is I love the bond I've built with some of them and how I can talk to some clients and know them like we're old friends Being a reader is hard work, it takes a LOT of energy but it's very rewarding

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

Typical stubborn Taurus however my Taurian crates are something I'm working on. I've found success in doing this through exercise and meditation.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

As a child in school. I have always been a Clare audience, and I went to school in very old Victorian era building. Well, I used to hear voices of spirits haunting the building as well as the laughter of children long past but imprinted on the location through its residual energy (residual haunting). Sadly, I didn't open myself up to them for many years. I put the voices down as insanity and just blocked them out. Buy the Lwa (Voodoo Deities) had other plans

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

Shaking their hand for an in person reading when natural psychometry kicked in and I got sort of a "divination download" without even touching the card or opening myself up to the Lwa.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I've performed readings and spiritual work now for over a decade. I have a LOT of positive client reviews, and I meditate and receive reiki daily to keep my energies clear. I also have a call centre background meaning I know how to speak to clients and can remain professional even under pressure.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

What they would to know. Are they prepared for the worst-case scenario. Also, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING...... REGARDLESS of what you hear on the reading you MUST banish all doubt, self-pity and negative thought regardless of how emotionally raw the situation is. If you focus on negative outcomes that's all you'll manifest as you'll psychically attract the bad and retract the good. NO MATTER HOW BAD life hurts R N if you want it to stop don't see the bump see the way over it, don't focus on problems manifest solutions, don't tell yourself “They’re gone, I'm never going to be happy, I won't get that job". Instead tell yourself YOU GOT THIS AND IF THIS SPECIFIC THING ISN'T FOR YOU, IT’S ONLY BECAUSE THERE'S SOMETHING BETTER AROUND THE CORNER.
